9 Resolutions for 2009

Here are my resolutions for 2009 for the Howe and Pretty Prairie United Methodist Churches.
  1. Form a Ministry Cabinet. This group will meet regularly (monthly) to focus on, discuss and brainstorm ministry programs, effectiveness and strategies.
  2. Focus on ministry for the entire year. This is in comparison to focusing on finances, administrative details or building concerns.
  3. Hold the biggest youth event that Howe/ Pretty Prairie has ever seen. The event is scheduled for July 18. More details will follow.
  4. Reach nine new people for Christ and the church.
  5. Re-model the Fellowship Hall at Howe Church.
  6. Finish the Bell Project at Pretty Prairie Church.
  7. Expand and enhance our Internet presence.
  8. Be more involved in community ministry.
  9. Commit ourselves, our churches and our community to the purposes of Christ.

I couldn't agree more. I want to see us used by Christ in whatever way He desires. Let's pray that He reveals His desire in each of our hearts, and may we be obedient.

Dewey, I really look forward to being active in the church this summer. I want to volunteer in every way possible to make this list a success. I'm so excited about what God has planned. I wish I could be more involved now, while I'm here at Masters. If there is any way I can help, please let me know.
