Sit, Walk, Stand: Ephesians 2.8-13

...and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus... Ephesians 2.6

Sit with God. Ephesians 2.6-9

• Spend time with God. Do not get in a hurry. "Take your shoes off. Sit a spell."
• Recognize the authority of God. He is in charge. You do not have to worry about your responsibility.
• Allow God to work in you. Although this seems passive, it is hard work.

Walk with God. Ephesians 4.1; 5.2

• Live out your faith. It is a daily process that will take years. You will keep growing until your journey of life is over.
• Keep going, even in difficulty. Do not get lost on a detour or distracted by an obstacle. Keep walking.

Stand with God. Ephesians 6.10ff

• Stand against evil. Never give up, no matter how formidable the opponent.
• Christ has already won the battle. We merely defend his territory. Take up arms to work with and on behalf of the Lord.
• In his name, we are his representatives. There is none of us who works on our own. We are the children of God. We are his hands and feet- his representatives.
